Lindy Falk van Rooyen

Lindy Falk van Rooyen is a literary translator of Danish and Faroese fiction. She holds an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Stellenbosch and an MA in English and Scandinavian Literature from the University of Hamburg. Her translations have appeared in Blue Lyra Review, Asymptote and Lunch Ticket Magazine. Book-length translations include Transfer Window by Maria Gerhardt (Nordisk Books, 2019) and What my Body Remembers by Agnete Friis (Soho Press, 2017). Falk van Rooyen was awarded a PEN Heim Translation Grant for HOPE by Danish author Mich Vraa in 2018, and with the support of the Faroese Arts Council current book-length projects include Óendaliga Vera [Infinitely Vera] by Faroese author Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs.
