Herbert Lomas

Herbert Lomas (1924–2011) was a British poet and translator. After graduating from the University of Liverpool he taught at the University of Helsinki and Borough Road College. He translated a considerable number of texts from Finnish, both poetry and prose, including works by Kai Nieminen, Leena Krohn, Pentti Holappa, Johanna Sinisalo as well as Arto Paasilinna's The Year of the Hare.
