Victoria Best

Dr Victoria Best is Lecturer in French at St. John's College, Cambridge.
She specialises in nineteenth and twentieth century French literature with
a particular interest in women's writing and the relationship between
identity and narrative. She has published widely on authors such as
Colette, Marguerite Duras and Assia Djebar, and her most recent book is 'An
Introduction to Twentieth-Century French Literature' (Duckworth, 2002). She
is currently engaged on a book about fantasy and dream.
